Join the Club and Comps

The University of St Andrews Staff Golf Club is open to all staff members of the University. If interested in joining the Club and in taking part in the yearly competitions, please email:

• Graham Miller (gmm10@) to participate in the Boase Quaich singles competition
• Renald Schaub (rs51@) to participate in the 4Ball Better Ball competition

To take part in the competitions, each player must have a club-registered WHS handicap. Both competitions are knock-out competitions. Attempts will be made to pair entrants in the 4-Ball competition who do not have a playing partner.

Both the singles and doubles competitions run all year through to November (with allowance for much flexibility) following approximately the timeline below:

• Early March: Call for participation. All Club members receive an initiation by email to register for play. A general call for play is published in the Loop
• Early April: The draw for both competitions is announced to all players, and published on the Club webpages,
• April to November: knock-out singles and doubles matches are played roughly at 2 months interval (with allowance for much flexibility)
• November or Early December: Competition results are published on the Club webpages, and the Champions are announced in the Loop
